 Activity 1About you!

Hello there!who's in?

I hope you are doing well and ready to begin this adventure.  I would like to get to know each one of you and I´m sure you have questions about me.

Well, I have prepared an introduction so we can sort of break the ice!

But before, I´d like to share with you some simple expectations when we meet, please take your time to read them.

Ok,👌 now that we have that out of the way we can continue with our introduction!

As part of our introduction these are the SKILLS you will practice:

⮚You will Interact with reasonable ease in structured situations and short conversations within familiar contexts.

⮚ You will understand main points in short simple texts on familiar subjects.

⮚ You will make and use a simple print or digital learning resource to compare and contrast information in order to demonstrate understanding and command of a topic.

1. working from home Self- Directed learning:  Take a look at the "Back to School 8th grade" presentation,  listen to the greeting, read about Me (your teacher) and be ready to tell me a little bit about yourself!  Follow the instructions to complete the tasks.  If you have questions, encounter problems  or did not understand, we can discuss that in our Learning workshop.

👉TASKS:

👀 About me! After you read the introduction in "Back to School 8th grade" presentation, brainstorm on the words that best describe yourself.  Watch out for ALL the links included in the presentation, to help you choose the best words for you!.  Jot them down in your notebook so you´ll remember them!

👀  Look up to see what the word "Acronym" means and think how you can apply that concept with your name!  Watch out for the "challenge" mentioned!

👀 Download the document "Time Flies" from dropbox. Read the instructions and discuss with you parents about when they were kids. Think about the differences.
🌟Heads up, you can click on the words in blue or the picture below 🠇 to access the presentation!.

👀 To finish, choose your favourite song in English, and be ready to share it with everyone...here is one another one of mine! I hope you enjoy it!

2.Co-learning:  Workshops with teacher, time to review the work sent, reinforce and motivate your learning.

👉TASKs:

🎉 Discuss about the new vocabulary words you found to describe yourself. Also, we will talk about acronyms and all you found out about the meaning of that word.

🎉 You will share your favourite song and we will try to guess the name and who sings it!  Have a way to share your song 📻, with a speaker and such, or you can email me the name of the song and I will have it ready for you.

🎉 In the worksheet you have downloaded "Time Flies",  Bitmoji Imageyou can edit by adding a text box so you can write a short story about your routines and how they are different from your parents when they were kids.
